Called for Such a Time as This

A Voice, Not an Echo

There is something deeply humbling about realizing that your life is not accidental. Before you ever took your first breath, God saw you. Before a single day unfolded, He already knew every moment of your story.

Scripture tells us:

“Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in Your book were written every one of them, the days that were formed for me…”

And again in Jeremiah:

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart…”

What a breathtaking thought. God did not simply create us and release us into history at random. He intentionally chose this exact generation, this exact moment in time, for us to live in.

Acts 17:26 says that God determined the times and boundaries in which people would live. That means you were chosen for this era. For this hour. For such a time as this.

As I think about the 250th anniversary of our nation and this significant season in history, I cannot help but stand in awe. The Lord could have placed us anywhere across the timeline of humanity, yet He appointed us to be alive right now. Not by coincidence. By divine purpose.

We all have a story.

In the Old Testament, generation after generation was instructed to tell of the goodness of God—to share testimonies of His faithfulness with their children and grandchildren. Why? Because testimonies awaken hunger in others. They remind weary hearts that God is still moving, still healing, still saving, still speaking.

I do not want to build a platform for myself. I do not want polished appearances to become more important than purified hearts. My prayer has been simple for years:

“Lord, let my life point people to Jesus.”

I want people to look at my life and say, “Look what the Lord has done.” Not because I am perfect, but because He is faithful.

Sometimes we hesitate to share because we feel unqualified. We think we need the perfect words, the perfect image, or a finished testimony. But God has never required perfection. He asks for surrender. He asks for authenticity. He asks for willing hearts.

David was not polished when he faced Goliath. He simply asked, “Is there not a cause?” And there still is.

The world does not need more echoes repeating culture’s noise. The world needs voices marked by truth, grace, sincerity, and the presence of God.

You do not have to have it all together to encourage someone else. Someone is watching your faith. Someone is drawing strength from the way you continue walking through hardship while still trusting God. Someone needs your testimony.

Your sphere of influence may not be a stadium or a stage. It may simply be your family, your coworkers, your neighbors, your church, or the person standing beside you in the grocery store. But never underestimate the power of one surrendered life.

God created you uniquely. Why spend your life echoing what everyone else is saying when Heaven has given you your own voice?

Your testimony matters.
Your story matters.
Your obedience matters.

The blood of Jesus covers all sin—not some, all. And the God of all creation loves us beyond our understanding and receives us just as we are while faithfully transforming us day by day.

So let us stop hiding behind masks and striving for perfection. Let us become the voices God created us to be.

For such a time as this.

Closing Thoughts

The Lord is still writing stories of redemption through ordinary people willing to say yes. You do not need a perfect past, flawless theology, or a polished presentation to make an eternal impact. All you need is a heart surrendered to Jesus.

Ask yourself today:
Am I echoing the world around me, or am I speaking what God has placed within me?

Your life was appointed for this moment in history. Do not stay silent. Share His goodness. Speak truth in love. Live authentically. And let your testimony point people back to the Savior who still changes lives.
